Abstract

The dynamic nature of the specialized language of higher education is evidenced by its innovative lexical and semantic processes, which indicate the implementation of new possibilities of the language system. The linguopragmatic aspect of English-language terminology in higher education is closely related to the context, the purpose of professional communication, and cultural factors, and this diversity is manifested in different types of specialized texts addressed to both internal and external addressees. In different types of professional texts, such as scientific articles, textbooks, official documents, terminological units are characterized by different pragmatic functions, depending on the context and purposes of communication.
